Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of CalcDesk and the free tools published at tgorman.com (including the LBR Viewer), operated by Gorman Field Services, LLC ("we", "us"). By using them you agree to these Terms. GridTally and Postail are covered by their own terms at gridtally.com/terms and postail.app/terms.

The service

CalcDesk provides web-based calculators for construction materials testing computations (for example, sieve/gradation analysis and related soil and aggregate calculations) based on published ASTM and AASHTO methods. Access is currently free — see Subscriptions and billing below.

Professional-use disclaimer. CalcDesk is a computational aid provided for convenience and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional engineering judgment, a qualified technician, or the governing project specifications and standards. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter and for independently reviewing, verifying, and approving all results before they are relied upon, reported, or used for any acceptance decision. CalcDesk does not perform, certify, or replace any required test, inspection, or professional service.

Subscriptions and billing

Access to CalcDesk is currently free. If paid subscriptions resume, the pricing will be posted before anything is charged.
There is no paid plan at present, so nothing renews and there is nothing to cancel. If paid subscriptions resume, a subscription would renew automatically each month until you cancel it, cancellation would stop future charges, and it would remain in effect through the end of the period already paid for.
If paid subscriptions resume, payments will be processed by Stripe as merchant of record, which handles applicable taxes. We do not store your card details.
Prices are in U.S. dollars. We may change pricing on a going-forward basis with reasonable notice.

Acceptable use

You may not resell, sublicense, share your access with non-subscribers, reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract the underlying calculation logic or source of CalcDesk. Access is licensed to you, not sold.

Intellectual property

CalcDesk, including its software, design, and calculation implementations, is owned by Gorman Field Services, LLC. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your subscription is active.

Disclaimer of warranties

CalcDesk is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gorman Field Services, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any damages arising from reliance on CalcDesk results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may cancel anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or non-payment.

Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with an updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
